The conversation around how — and whether — to incent employees to engage in corporate wellness never ends.

Some of the data that supports healthy workplaces: one estimate is that wellness programs offer a 3-to-1 return on investment, albeit it may take a few years to realize that return. And there’s positive statistics on the national trends of corporate wellness programs. For example, the number of large employers who offer wellness programs has gone from 52% in 2012 to 83%. Also of note: the ACA (Affordable Care Act) offers provisions that encourage program participation.
